SÃO PAULO, January 29, 2025 – Renata Ramalhosa has joined Kobre & Kim as Regional Managing Director for Latin America based in São Paulo.
As Kobre & Kim’s Latin American Regional Managing Director, Ms. Ramalhosa will expand and cultivate the firm’s relationships with local law firms, other strategic advisors, and end-users throughout the region.
Before joining Kobre & Kim, Ms. Ramalhosa was the CEO of Beta-i Brasil, a consultancy she co-founded that advises corporations, governments, and other organizations on innovation. She currently serves as a counselor at the Portuguese Diaspora Council, where she continues her engagement in fostering global connections. Previously, she held roles as a non-executive director and advisor to the Council and as a columnist for Brasil Energia and Editorial Globo. Her earlier positions included Deputy Consul General at the British Consulate in São Paulo and Director for Trade and Investment Brasil and Investment Latam, where she promoted trade and investment relations between Brazil and the UK.
Gary Singer, Kobre & Kim’s Chief Strategy Officer, said, “We are uniquely able to serve clients' cross-jurisdictional needs from both inside and outside of Brazil and look forward to Renata’s addition to our considerable existing resources located in the region."
As the only global law firm in São Paulo focused solely on disputes and investigations, Kobre & Kim offers extensive experience with cross-border litigation and investigations. The firm specializes in international asset recovery and insolvency, government investigations, and special situations arising from international fraud and misconduct.
Chambers and The Legal 500 have recognized Kobre & Kim for its strength in Latin America. Several of the firm’s São Paulo-based lawyers, including Ana Frischtak, Carolina Leung, Sergio Aguiar, and Victor D.V. Clementino, are recognized thought leaders in areas ranging from corporate restructuring and insolvency to complex asset recovery.
Outside of Brazil, Chambers has recognized Miami-based attorneys Adriana Riviere-Badell and Evelyn Sheehan as leading international lawyers for cross-border matters in Latin America.
“Kobre & Kim has a well-earned reputation in Latin America as the premier global disputes and investigations firm,” said Ms. Ramalhosa. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help the firm enhance its market position in the region.”
