Kobre & Kim Expands Conflict-Free Offshore Litigation Offering With BVI Office

May 14, 2012

Kobre & Kim, the conflict-free litigation firm focusing solely on cross-border disputes, has announced the opening of an office in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). Leading the firm’s initiative in the BVI will be Kobre & Kim lawyers James Corbett QC and Tim Prudhoe, both English barristers with extensive experience in the Caribbean.

On the office opening, Mr. Prudhoe said: “Our expansion into the British Virgin Islands was in response to growing demand. With strong ties to Asia and the Commercial Court, the British Virgin Islands is a leading jurisdiction for high stakes financial and insolvency disputes.”

In addition to the office opening, the firm has announced the appointment of several new lawyers, providing a range of language capabilities to the firm’s cross-border insolvency/judgment enforcement, trusts and estates, and investment funds disputes groups.
