Jonathan Cogan, a lawyer with significant experience litigating joint venture disputes in the hospitality space, will lead the panel discussion titled “Common Pitfalls in Joint Venture Agreements” at the inaugural Americas Lodging Investment Summit Law Conference for in-house counsel and law firms that represent real estate investors and developers.
Joint venture litigations often center on disputes between majority and minority interest holders and/or contests for control between fighting factions of interest holders. Often in these contexts, complicated and extensive litigation can ultimately turn on how certain common provisions in joint venture agreements are worded. During this panel, Mr. Cogan will lead the exploration of such commonly litigated provisions of joint venture agreements and the issues they often raise.
