On January 13, Michael Kim gave experience-based practical advice on enforcing arbitration awards, at the ITA-IEL-ICC Joint Conference on International Energy Arbitration. The panel, titled “How Good is an Award if You Can't Enforce It? The Challenges of Enforcing Arbitration Awards Around the World,” explored war stories on enforcement challenges, government seizure of assets, purchasing an award, creative strategies for effective enforcement, and new trends in recognizing and enforcing arbitral awards.
