When a debtor’s assets are located outside of the jurisdiction where a judgment was obtained, how should attorneys approach recovery of these assets? Kobre & Kim’s Leif Simonson will moderate and speak on a panel on obtaining recognition and enforcement of judgments across borders at the first annual International Litigation Skills Conference hosted by the American Bar Association on May 27, 2021 at 12:45 pm EDT.
This inaugural conference will feature agenda sessions that address necessary skills, innovative methods and developing trends in the field of international litigation.
As co-chair of the conference, Mr. Simonson will also provide opening remarks for the second day of the event before joining fellow panelists Sandrine Giroud of Lalive, Pedro Maciel of Lefosse Advogados and Seokchun Yun of Kim & Chang to discuss the fundamentals of cross-border judgment enforcement and practical steps in identifying and locating assets.
