Kobre & Kim’s São Paulo team, together with Prisma Capital, hosted a breakfast panel during the São Paulo Arbitration Week to discuss “Litigation Funding and Monetization of Arbitral Awards” on October 16.
Sergio Aguiar was joined by Ana Carolina Musa, Silvia Julio Bueno de Miranda and Bruno Poppa to discuss how litigation funding can play an important role in the monetization of arbitral awards and strategies creditors can use to accelerate recovery against judgement debtors, while sharing experiences and successful outcomes.
The panel covered various strategies and challenges that parties must be prepared for in anticipation of the arbitral award as well as the different enforcement mechanisms, including Kobre & Kim’s multijurisdictional approach and expertise.
