October 8, 2026
Kobre & Kim's Evelyn Baltodano Sheehan will speak at the STEP Wyoming International Estate Planning Conference, taking place October 9-10, 2026, in Jackson Hole. The annual conference brings together practitioners to share knowledge and best practices on issues affecting international families and private wealth. Topics on this year's agenda include global family office strategies, cross-border reorganizations, tax policy and litigation.
Evelyn's presentation, "Professionalizing the Personal: Risk Management in the Face of Trust Litigation Risks and Disputes," will explore how trust structures built around family members, long-time advisors and other trusted individuals can become vulnerable when disputes, investigations, succession events and other pressures arise. Drawing on a disputes and risk-management perspective, she will discuss why professionalization matters and how families and family offices can address potential risks before a crisis occurs.
