The past eighteen months have seen increasing risks for businesses in Asia as the pandemic and geopolitical shifts have swept the world. As part of the invite-only ALB Hong Kong In-House Legal Summit 2021, Kobre & Kim’s Calvin Koo will moderate a panel on how businesses can manage these cross-border risks at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on September 7, 2021.
During the panel, “Managing Cross-Border Enforcement Risks and Investigations – Recalibrating for a Post COVID-19 World,” Mr. Koo will lead a discussion on topics including risk management lessons from the pandemic, such as how disrupted business, remote work and staff reductions affected compliance; major compliance guidance and enforcement cases in 2020 and 2021; the impact of sanctions on cross-border enforcement; and what to watch for in 2022.
The panel will feature Jane Yin, managing director and head of legal and compliance at Fosun Hani Securities Limited; Shaun Ansell, head of legal and compliance, Asia Pacific, at GPB Financial Services (part of Gazprombank); and Steven Yeo, general counsel, Asia, at Manulife.
