Kobre & Kim’s Adriana Riviere-Badell will speak on a panel at the OffshoreAlert Latin America Conference in São Paulo on September 16. This panel, titled “Asset Recovery Latin America: Tips From The Experts (Part Two)”, will be led by top international fraud and asset recovery attorneys to discuss the emerging and dominant issues surrounding successful recovery efforts in the Latin American region.
Ms. Riviere-Badell will focus on the use of government programs – such as whistleblower programs and asset forfeiture – to assist in enforcing international judgments. She will also cover defense in asset forfeiture proceedings as part of a comprehensive asset protection strategy, including a discussion on the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Rewards Act introduced earlier this year in the United States.
