Kobre and Kim’s Michael Bahn was listed as a 2024 Rising Star in Korean legal publication Legal Times Korea.
Mr. Bahn focuses his practice on white-collar criminal defense and regulatory enforcement cases and advises corporations and financial institutions in corporate compliance matters. Recently, Mr. Bahn and the Kobre & Kim team achieved successful outcomes for several clients, including the dismissal of almost all claims brought by a former executive alleging unlawful termination against Better Mortgage, and settling the U.S. SEC’s charges against the founder of a major cryptocurrency exchange, resulting in the founder himself not having to pay any monetary penalties.
In his career, Mr. Bahn has represented Korean and other non-U.S. companies in U.S. SEC and DOJ investigations, spanning across multiple jurisdictions including Korea, US, UK and India.
