Andrew Lourie was selected as a finalist for the Daily Business Review's 2011 Most Effective Lawyers Award for the corporate securities category. Mr. Lourie, who focuses his practice on complex financial products and securities litigation, was selected for his successful role representing the board of directors of Terremark Worldwide in multiple shareholder class actions in Delaware and Florida. Mr. Lourie's work allowed the original US $2 billion tender offer by Verizon Holdings Inc. to go forward.
The Most Effective Lawyers Award highlights key lawyers in South Florida who have achieved significant victories on behalf of clients in the previous year. Lawyers were measured primarily on results for the client, the obstacles overcome, business interests, and their overall professional track record.
