Chambers Global Guide 2026 Recognizes Kobre & Kim and Multiple Global Lawyers

Kobre & Kim and several lawyers have been recognized in the latest Chambers Global Guide rankings across a variety of categories.

Our recognitions this year include:

Corporate Crime & Investigations in Latin America – International Counsel

Kobre & Kim was recognized as “truly impressive,” with a team that is “creative, entrepreneurially savvy” and who “think outside the box.
Adriana Riviere-Badell and Evelyn Baltodano Sheehan were also recognized, describing Adriana as having “a great reputation in the market” and Evelyn as being “very committed to the corporate crime and investigations practice in the Latin America region.”

Timothy de Swardt and Merrick Watson were individually recognized. Merrick was praised for being a “seasoned litigator who is dedicated and extremely hard-working, with an encyclopedic knowledge of BVI legal practice and procedure.” Timothy was described as “an erudite, thoughtful strategist who goes the extra mile to ensure the most favorable outcome.

Dispute Resolution in the Cayman Islands

Kobre & Kim was placed in this category, noting that “for complex and multi-jurisdictional litigation there are few law firms that compete with Kobre & Kim.”
Peter Tyers-Smith was again placed in Band 2, saying he is “outstanding - he compares favorably to London silks. He has an excellent courtroom manner which is really compelling.

Kobre & Kim earned a place in this category, noting the team is “very commercial, pragmatic and focused on results.
Paul Hughes and Richard Clarke were also recognized individually for their work in this category, describing Paul as “doing a great job” and Richard as “exceptionally capable and professional.”
