Andrew Stafford KC examined the new regulatory environment and trends in the banking and finance litigation market in London in The Lawyer magazine. Discussing the Financial List, the increase in commercial litigation as a result of the foreign exchange (forex) and London interbank offered rate (Libor) investigations, and the continued willingness of distressed companies to litigate against banks on the basis that they were "pushed" further into distress by the bank, Mr. Stafford predicts an active UK banking and finance disputes market in the coming year, with London continuing to be a dispute resolution forum of choice.
