Cross-Border Team Offers Insight on Latest Privilege Rules for UK Investigations

The English High Court has in recent years upended standard practice for lawyers conducting internal investigations in the UK, and despite its most recent decision that takes a different turn, significant uncertainty remains about the scope of privilege in the context of investigations. Former U.S. Department of Justice prosecutors Roger A. Burlingame, based in London, and Steven Kobre, based in New York, team up with Washington DC-based government enforcement defense lawyer Rachel Goldstein to survey the landscape and offer best practices for lawyers conducting UK internal investigations.
