Pro Bono & Community Outreach
Kobre & Kim's pro bono program fosters an opportunity to invest in the communities in which we work and to provide access to justice for the underserved.
We strive to achieve the same levels of excellence in our pro bono work as we do for all of our clients.
Our lawyers regularly use their skills to assist those in need. In collaboration with nonprofit organizations that support indigent individuals and women who face poverty or abuse, our lawyers represent clients in matters involving human rights violations and other issues that seriously impact their lives.
For instance, we advise individuals facing possible extradition in partnership with Human Rights First, which secures core freedoms for people around the world. We also work with Her Justice to provide legal services to women facing poverty and abuse.
Every person can make a difference, and we encourage all of our lawyers and staff to contribute to our communities.
Commitment to public service is ingrained in the firm's culture. As we continue to grow, so do the opportunities to give back to our communities. In addition to our pro bono cases, Kobre & Kim supports a number of civic, community, cultural, educational, and scientific and medical research organizations, including the Alzheimer's Association, the Association to Benefit Children, Breakthrough New York, Grameen Foundation Asia, the Korean American Community Foundation, Legal Aid Society, Legal Outreach, Inc., Meals on Wheels, Network for Good, Starlight Children's Foundation, The Lustgarten Foundation and Vera Institute of Justice.
