Kobre & Kim is a recipient of Human Rights First‘s Marvin E. Frankel Award, given in recognition of outstanding dedication to pro bono services. The firm has partnered with Human Rights First in the representation of asylum seekers and their families.
“In 2018, attorneys in the firm’s New York office worked on 10 cases, winning asylum for four clients from Bangladesh, Guinea, Morocco, and Ukraine,” the announcement stated. “In addition to their stellar legal work, the firm has gone above and beyond in providing for their vulnerable clients’ numerous other needs, including through clothing drives, supporting parents in accessing extracurricular activities for their children, and providing transportation to, and meals at, client meetings.”
The award will be presented on October 28 at an event in New York City.
