International arbitrations are a key cross-border dispute resolution mechanism, and it is increasingly important for practitioners around the world to develop their knowledge and expertise in the field. Kobre & Kim’s Jason Kang, who focuses on enforcing claims, judgments and awards and other complex disputes with a nexus to China, will share his expertise at an open course organized by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics School of Law.
The course, which runs from March 1 to April 26, 2024, will feature a range of other speakers and touch on topics including drafting an international arbitration clause; initiating and preparing for international arbitrations; selecting and challenging arbitrators; evidence and interim measures; and enforcing arbitration awards across borders.
At the end of the course, the HKIAC International Arbitration Scholarship will be awarded to students with outstanding performance in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics courses. Those who fully participate in the course and perform well will have the opportunity to obtain internships with the following institutions, including Tiance Law Firm, Zhong Lun Law Firm, Kobre & Kim, Clifford Chance, and Hui Zhong Law Firm , Morrison & Foerster LLP, and HKIAC Shanghai Representative Office.
