Kobre & Kim’s Women’s Initiative Hosts All-Women Panel on the Recent DOJ Enforcement Trends and Risks They Pose for Latin America

Kobre & Kim’s Women’s Initiative is hosting a happy hour and all-women panel discussion on Wednesday, August 5 at 4:00 pm EST / 5:00 pm BRT on recent trends regarding the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) investigations and asset forfeiture actions, with a particular focus on proceedings arising out of Brazil and Latin America. The panel will be hosted by Women’s Initiative co-chair Gabriela Ruiz, moderated by Kobre & Kim’s Carolina Leung and joined by Kobre & Kim’s Evelyn Sheehan, Lefosse Advogados’ Ludmila Groch and Chinaglia Oliveira Advogados’ Clarissa Oliveira.

Comprised of lawyers with experience in police investigations, corporate fraud, anti-corruption, government enforcement defense and asset forfeiture, the panel discussion will focus on discussing strategies that can help mitigate potential risks for clients in Latin America as the DOJ adopts a more aggressive application of extraterritorial U.S. laws.
