George Utlik will explore how the revised insolvency law in Russia impacts the use of U.S. litigation tools in international disputes at the British Russian Law Association seminar on March 6. In addition to discussing the use of Chapter 15, the judgment enforcement process and federal court discovery under 28 U.S.C. § 1782, Mr. Utlik will share strategies and practical considerations for creditors and trustees such as jurisdictional limitations, invoking the public policy exception, and assigning legal claims to an entity before bankruptcy.
