
Tara Roy, under the supervision of the firm’s lawyers, assists in matters involving financial products and services litigation and bankruptcy and debtor-creditor disputes. Ms. Roy's recent matters include providing research and analysis in connection with the representation of residential mortgage-backed securities trustees in multiple litigations pending in New York Supreme Court seeking repurchase of defective mortgage loans underlying several residential mortgage- backed securitization trusts. Ms. Roy also provides analysis in connection with the representation of MAXAM Absolute Return Fund’s attempts to recover US $280 million investments in the Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC fraud, and defense against potential lawsuits by investors in MAXAM-managed funds, as well as associated purported class actions.
