Robert M. Swenson is an experienced litigator with substantial experience representing clients in a wide range of complex commercial and business disputes, government investigations and restructurings. He routinely litigates matters involving U.S. securities and antitrust laws, the Exchange Act, the Investment Company Act, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract. 

Mr. Swenson also has experience representing public companies in antitrust and other regulatory enforcement matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporate,  and various state attorneys general. 

In addition, Mr. Swenson represents debtors, creditors and DIP lenders in restructuring proceedings and pre-bankruptcy negotiations and investigations. He has been involved in some of the largest and most innovative bankruptcy cases on record, including Lehman Brothers, Washington Mutual, Inc., and PG&E.

Before joining Kobre & Kim, Mr. Swenson practiced at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP, focusing on complex commercial litigation. He clerked for the Honorable Vernon S. Broderick at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
