Jake Kotler, under the supervision of the firm’s lawyers, provides support on matters involving government enforcement defense and internal investigations. His recent matters include providing research and analysis in connection with the representation of a major energy company in resisting enforcement of a fraudulent multibillion-dollar judgment, with strategies and litigation spanning three continents.
He also previously provided research and analysis in the representation of a UK-based futures trader facing criminal and civil charges of commodities manipulation, fraud, and spoofing by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and assisted with an internal investigation at a New York-based hedge fund in response to allegations of securities fraud and other violations.
