Shaun Wu on Whistleblower Claims in China’s Financial Services Companies

September 24, 2019

Shanghai-based investigations lawyer Shaun Wu will be speaking at the International Bar Association (IBA) 2019 Annual Conference in Seoul to discuss the environment surrounding whistleblower claims at China-based financial services companies.

Mr. Wu will be presenting his thoughts at the panel “Whistleblower Claims in Financial Services Companies: A Global Challenge,” on Wednesday, September 25th at IBA Seoul. An investigation in response to a whistleblower complaint raises a number of questions around procedure, privilege and regulatory interactions. Wu and his fellow panelists will run through strategies on dealing with whistleblowing and investigations in banks and regulated financial institutions.

Given Wu’s extensive experience representing multinational corporations and financial institutions in China in conducting internal investigations in response to whistleblowers alleging fraud or misconduct, he will be focusing on specific issues involving global companies with an office in the People’s Republic of China.
