Shaun Wu Examines Internal Investigations at World Bank Group Seminar
January 10, 2018
On January 10, Shaun Wu discussed the key steps for conducting internal investigations at the Integrity Compliance Management Workshop for Chinese Enterprises in Belt & Road Countries at the World Bank Office in Beijing. The seminar was hosted by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Integrity Vice Presidency and the World Bank Group.
The session titled, "Conducting Investigations and Cooperation," focused on pre-investigation considerations, including how to create an internal response plan; establishing clear lines of communication between internal investigators and management; and potential integrity issues. The panel also outlined key investigative steps, such as identifying the regulators and regulations involved, maximizing "privilege-like" protection and conducting internal scoping interviews.
