April 4, 2019

Kobre & Kim attorney Shaun Wu was a distinguished speaker at C5’s Anti-Corruption Conference 2019 in Switzerland, where on April 4th he delivered a presentation on China’s anti-corruption campaign and its impact on multi-national corporations (MNCs) doing business in the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Entitled “What Every Multinational Should Know about the Revised Anti-Unfair Competition Law, New National Supervision and Cyber Laws,” the talk was a comprehensive overview of the anti-corruption campaign, which began at the end of 2012.

Mr. Wu, who focuses on high-stakes multijurisdictional disputes and U.S. government investigations involving China, delved into such specific regulatory areas as the PRC’s Anti-Unfair Competition Law (and its implications on enforcement actions); how data governance regulation affects MNCs anti-bribery compliance strategies; and the National Supervision Commission’s jurisdiction and impact on non-PRC companies.
