April 9, 2019

Kobre & Kim’s Leif T. Simonson is taking his experience with cross-border disputes, judgment enforcement and asset recovery and is hitting the road to deliver remarks at American Bar Association (ABA) annual conferences in Washington, D.C. and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The first of these panel discussions, entitled “Hot on the Trail: How Lawyers Can Work Effectively With Investigators and Forensic Accountants to Enhance International Judgment Enforcement and Asset Recovery Efforts,” will be at the ABA Section of International Law’s 2019 Annual Conference on April 11th in Washington, D.C. Mr. Simonson will discuss how investigators and forensic accountants can be effectively deployed in complex international judgment enforcement and multi-jurisdictional asset recovery matters to enhance recovery on a global scale while avoiding common ethical or legal pitfalls.

On April 12th, Mr. Simonson will travel to Minneapolis, where he will participate in a panel on “How to Obtain and Enforce Emergency and Interim Relief in U.S. and International Arbitration” at the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s Spring Conference. There, his remarks will focus on strategies claimants can take prior to an arbitration award to enhance recovery in the event of an award.
