From her proudest professional moments and her advice to trainees to the most significant trend in her practice, Kobre & Kim’s Evelyn Sheehan shared her insight in the latest edition of Private Client Global Elite’s magazine “The Month.”
While growing up in Latin America, Ms. Sheehan saw the “intense implications that the law could have on people’s lives,” inspiring her to study law and place the rule of law at the center of her public service and current private practice. She also revealed her proudest professional moments and her advice to trainees (“there are no shortcuts to good work and deep expertise, and there is no going back if you hurt your reputation with unprofessional behavior”).
In addition, Ms. Sheehan pointed to the “steady drumbeat of enforcement focus on professional gatekeepers who allegedly facilitate money laundering or sanctions evasion” as the most significant trend over the next 12 months.
